I take solid old pieces that have been painted badly or left in a barn and put them back into service. Some I sell finished, and some I do for people on their own furniture.

What I do

Refinishing

Stripping, repair and a new finish on solid wood. I'll tell you if a piece isn't worth the labour — plenty aren't, and it's cheaper to hear that first.

Painted pieces

Milk paint or chalk paint, sealed properly so it wears instead of chipping. Colour matched to whatever you're putting it next to.

Repairs

Loose joints, broken chair backs, missing veneer, drawers that stick. Joints get re-glued and pegged the way they were built.

Your own furniture

Send me a photo and roughly what you want. I'll give you a price and a rough timeline. Most pieces take two to four weeks depending on what else is on the bench.

About

I started doing this in 2018 on a dresser that came out of my grandmother's house, and it got out of hand from there.

I work on solid wood — oak, walnut, pine, maple. I turn down particleboard and most veneered flatpack, because the repair costs more than the piece is worth and I'd rather tell you that up front.

Finished pieces are usually listed on Facebook first. Message me there and I'll send photos of what's on hand, or the piece you're asking about if it's still available.
